Lincoln's Sparrow. Why is such a distinct bird so hard to ID? Fine breast streaking suggests savannah. Buff wash on upper breast suggests Lincoln's. It's the black eye line and breast spot that helped most. Lacking the white throat marks of a swamp sparrow. But, alas, the e-bird reviewer weighed in 7 months later (who can blame him?) saying it's a Lincoln's sparrow when I originally called it either a song or a savannah. Now we "know."
