Nevada's Mountain Bluebird
#20, from a road trip with Brother Mark in his 1936 Pontiac Business Coupe from Reno to Los Alamos, NM, Sept. 11-15, 2015. Just west of Eureka, Nevada. We had driven most of a day across US HWY 50, the loneliest road in America, and had seen only one disappearing bunch of these birds hours before. When we finally reached the first promising habitat I said we had to pull over. Within 10 minutes I got a couple of usable images. We drove on to New Mexico without ever seeing one of these again.
