New Jersey, American Godlfinch
#16 From a road trip Maine to New Mexico, 2015. Bird #17. Cecil Creek Farms. Again, an easy bird to see and hear but not so easy to photograph on a schedule. Half a bird in the shutter is worth ...? But, hey, if I want to see good photos, I'll go to somebody else's web site.
Sara and I bought a quiche in the farm store and ate off it for three days. A joy of the road trip is having a companion who is willing to integrate while still maintaining a strong sense of self, and is willing to express her needs so I can contribute to satisfying them when appropriate. It's a bit like a river trip that way. She was enjoying the farm while I tried my best in the hour we had to photograph this ubiquitous treetop bird.
